QUETTA: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari lamented that the federal government did not extend cooperation the way it should have towards the provinces in the battle against covid-19.

During his speech at National Assembly on Monday, he said that his party was ready to work with Prime Minister and did not want any political point scoring. He said that the federal government had not properly managed the pilgrims coming from Iran and Balochistan government was not given necessary assistance to deal with the hundreds of pilgrims. He said that they were kept in poor conditions, not given even proper medicines, adding that when they arrived in Sindh, their proper tests were conducted and were kept in proper quarantine. He said that it was the responsibility of the federal government to manage the border.

He, however, in a reconciliatory tone, offered government an olive branch and said that he didn’t want to debate political matters such as NFC and 18th amendment. (Televised Speech)
