The Aim of Life

By Noor ul ain Ehsan

Many people envision a prosperous life but they have no definite aim in life. They are like car without fuel. They live an aimless life; and what they do and what they become, is largely a matter of chance, determined by the circumstance in which they happen to place themselves. Such people without aim achieve nothing. People might articulate aim and make plans to achieve. To achieve anything in life man must have definite aim of some sort.  A man realizes a clearly defined ideal is like stream car steaming by compass to known destination .It does not depend on the fuel  but forgoes ahead by its own innate energy such man sees before him what he is aiming at, an ideal is something desirable which we seek to achieve . We design all purposive actions in our life.

Different people have different aims in life. Some aim at acquiring wealth, some at power. Some at fame, some at scholarship and the possession of knowledge. It is still more necessary to see that one’s aim and ideal, is noble. In all cases the ideal a man sets before himself determines the sort of life he will live, and the sort of man he will be.
