Commitment To Be Useful Citizens Should Be Priority, Teachers Urge UoT Graduates

TURBAT: A grand ceremony was held at the seminar hall of Gwadar Campus in honor of the first batch of students of the four-year BS degree program graduating from the University of Turbat Gwadar Campus, the other day.

The event was organized by the second batch of students and was attended by a large number of students besides heads of academic departments, faculty members and administrative officers and staff.

The students presented speeches, plays, poetry, songs, ghazals and sketches during the event. They also demonstrated extraordinary abilities to make the event a lasting memory. The Quiz session entertained the audience in an extraordinary manner on which the audience responded generously.

The program also featured a video clip depicting the memories and experiences of the students from 2017 to 2020.

Addressing the Participants, Campus Director Ejaz Ahmed conveyed a message of good will from the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir to the graduates. He said that by becoming an ambassador of the university, the students will play a vital role in the development and prosperity of the region with your academic skills and qualifications.

He said that under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Gwadar Campus has made a name for itself in the field of higher education in the country in a short span of time and this achievement was not possible without the cooperation of teachers, staff, students and locals notable.

Welcoming the new students enrolled in the 5th batch of Gwadar Campus, he said that the purpose of holding such a program is to keep alive the bright traditions of the university and strengthen the spirit of education and commitment of the students to serve the society.

Expressing good wishes for the students, he said that getting a degree should not be the goal but the commitment to be a useful citizen of the society is a journey towards real success. He said that Gwadar Campus started its academic journey in 2017 and today the first batch of its four-year BS degree program is successfully graduating which is a source of pride for the institution.

He commended the members of the organizing committee for organizing such an exemplary program on the university campus.

Speaking on the occasion, Saadia Naseer, Head of Education Department, also emphasized the importance of determination and determination to lead a successful life and said ‘your success is a great gift to your parents and the region.’

She said that in all the campuses of Turbat University including Gwadar Campus, full attention is paid to character building and ethics along with academic standards.

Faculty members Shahnaz Noor, Fida Ahmad, Mukhtar Bashir, Hem Gul and Mir Bilal Khan expressed their best wishes to the graduates through video link. The graduate students said that it seems that they had enrolled in this institute only a day earlier and are graduating today because they were very quickly adjusted to the university environment.

“At first we thought that university life would be very difficult and boring but during these four years we have never felt this way and we have learned a lot here. Thanks to the faculty and staff who not only provided us with the best learning environment on campus but also shaped our personality and trained us to launch our own business and become an employer instead of a job seeker,” the graduates said in their concluding remarks.
